Recycling helps protect the environment… and that’s not all
Recycling means reusing waste material and giving it a new lease of life. We are taught to do this at school and at home; it has now become part of our daily lives, and children are often more keen to recycle because it allows them to express their creativity.
Our packaging is fully recyclable: simply empty the jar, wash the jar and lid, and you’ve got a container that can be reused in many different ways.
How to easily remove labels from glass jars
The hardest part to remove is the paper label, but don’t worry: below we’ve set out the steps to remove it easily and without leaving any residue.
The solutions given apply to both the glass jar both for the tinplate.
First solution: hot water
- Wet a cloth with hot water without wringing it out, and wrap it around the jar, covering the label completely;
- Leave it like that for one night;
- Remove the cloth and take off the label;
- Wash the pot.
Option two: the hairdryer
- Use a hairdryer to warm the label so that the glue softens;
- Remove the label;
- If there are any traces of glue left, wipe with cooking oil;
- Leave it to work for 10–15 minutes, then remove any residue with a metal scourer.
